Overview Details Futura Offices Whiteparish, Wiltshire As an expanding company, Lascar acquired the site of an old mushroom farm to expand their operations and provide much-needed storage facilities. After developing the brief with the client BrightSpace produced designs for an employment building with a mix of 209sqm of B1 and 305sqm of B8 usage. It was important to the client that the appearance of the building represented the hi-tech nature of the business, a clean pared back aesthetic developed with a dark brick plinth beneath a deep grey metal clad upper storey. The overall mass of the building is broken up by a full height glass façade forming the entrance and providing light into the offices and storage areas, the glass is highly reflective to mirror the trees surrounding the site helping to tie the building into its context while remaining bold and modern. Occupying only the rear part of the site the building we have designed in future flexibility for further expansion on the same site. The office accommodation is currently set furthest from the site entrance and benefits from the views of the surrounding woods yet is located to enable connection to any future development.
