Overview Details Magna Housing Dorchester, Dorset We worked closely with the client to prepare designs for a new office refurbishment, proposing a space that will enhance the way MHA work with space for future growth of the company. BrightSpace were asked to look at how the company works and how the existing space is used to tailor design an interior space that allows for informal breakout spaces amongst the formality of the desk formation. It was established early that the main existing Structural steel frame was in good order so it was agreed this should be incorporated into the new design. Working closely with the client and other consultants the end design provides maximum benefit to the users with maximum affordability. The project has delivered an exciting office environment and allows the various operations of the Association to take place efficiently. The office uses a large central working space with a 1st-floor mezzanine level which provides further desk space and the main meeting room. Around the building glazed partition systems are used to provide individual meeting rooms and separate meeting rooms. An informal feel has been created in the office by mixing workspaces and introducing ‘pods’ and breakout spaces. At the rear of the building, a large Stores area has been created to allow for the maintenance department to operate from.
