Overview Details West Sussex - North Bersted West Sussex The proposals are for a wholly residential, low-rise development, comprising 17no. 2, 3, and 4-bed houses and an affordable occupied apartment building comprising of 8 no.1 and 2-bed flats. Houses and apartments at the eastern side of the site are arranged to encircle and define the park; houses at the side of the site front Romney Broadwalk. Locating the proposed park against the northeastern boundary enables the effective ‘removal’ of a substantial section of that boundary, and the combining of these two green spaces, creating a much larger and significant new green amenity area. This larger green amenity area will help the Council to deliver one of their key aspirations of ‘placemaking’, with nearly half of the proposed dwellings directly facing the park and the larger green space beyond. The variety of house sizes, bedroom-person numbers, and arrangements, will ensure the development exhibits variety in its architectural massing, articulation, character, and in its ‘market’ offering.
