Although digital modelling is an extremely popular method of communicating ideas in a three-dimensional way on screen, the importance of crafting a physical model should not be overlooked. At BSA we like to utilise the use of BIM and the complex 3D models it allows us to produce by pushing the importance of model making to help portray different aspects of a design.

Whether this is through handcrafting, laser cutting or even 3D printing, we have implemented each method into at least one project to help in the pre-planning stages of a project.

We have recently taken a 3D printed context model to a public consultation to help aid in gaining support before submitting a planning application for a mixed-use urban development in a town centre.
