BrightSpace have been tasked with leading the proposed application for a development of a purpose-built facility for client NMS, a leading supplier of aggregates, concrete, skips and construction materials. The proposal looks to combine NMS’ existing storage facilities on site, with a newly designed internal sales office and external product showrooms.

Due to enhancements to the processing and efficiency across the wider site, consolidation of services has been possible, enabling the proposed relocation of facilities to one site. The new facility will provide parking, amenity and working space for 45+ staff and will have visual connections to the builders’ merchants and aggregate processing facilities in the surrounding area. Vehicular access and parking for customers and trades vehicles will be clear and a 1-way route will be implemented across the site to improve way-finding and pedestrian safety.

The increase in office, sales and storage will enable to future enhancement of New Milton Sand & Ballast, providing economic opportunity to the local area. A new office facility will act as a flagship for any future New Milton Sand & Ballast developments as the company expands across the UK. The external showcase area will enable customers to browse products in an landscaped set up; previously this area has been crucial to securing trade and business, enabling customer interaction and generating a positive user experience.
