BrightIDEAS 02: Sketching

Continuing our BrightIDEAS posts, almost all of our collaborations involve ‘sketching’. Collaboration and sketching go hand in hand and are often used when brainstorming ideas for a new project.

Sketching is an effective technique to use simply because you can do it anywhere, all you need is a pen and paper. You can do this in the office, at home, on the train or even out and about at your local park.

Here in the BrightSPACE Studio, we use a white board that comes in handy when we are hosting our Design Charette sessions. We can sketch, sketch and sketch again, until we come up with a new concept or design that incorporates the teams’ thoughts and ideas.

Whether you are mocking up floor plans, elevations or even 3D views of your concept designs, sketching is a really important tool to utilise. Where is your favourite place to sketch?
